Kerala Man Commits Murder-Suicide After Domestic Dispute

A Kerala man shot his wife, Sangeetha, and then died by suicide after returning home. The couple had been experiencing significant disputes, with reports suggesting they were considering separation. Tragically, their two daughters are now left without parents.
A 52-year-old man, Krishnakumar, reportedly killed his wife, Sangeetha, in a violent incident before taking his own life at their home in Kerala. Police believe that personal disagreements may have contributed to this tragic event, which has left the couple’s two young daughters, Ameesha and Akshara, without their parents.
On Monday morning, Krishnakumar drove 83 kilometers from his home in Vandazhi to Coimbatore to confront Sangeetha, a private school teacher. An argument ensued during which Krishnakumar allegedly shot and killed her using an air gun. He then returned home, where he subsequently committed suicide in front of his father.
Neighbors alerted the police upon hearing gunshots, leading them to discover Sangeetha’s body at the crime scene. It is reported that Krishnakumar had previously restricted Sangeetha from maintaining contact with a male friend, indicating deeper relational issues that may have fueled the incident. The couple was reportedly considering legal separation and had been living apart.
Prior to this incident, Krishnakumar had worked in Malaysia before relocating back to settle in Coimbatore. The circumstances surrounding the murder-suicide underline the importance of addressing mental health and relational conflicts effectively to prevent such tragedies.
The tragic murder-suicide case involving Krishnakumar and Sangeetha highlights significant issues related to domestic conflict and the impact of mental health. With the couple’s children left orphaned, this situation raises awareness about the need for early intervention in troubled relationships and better mental health support systems.
