The Jeddah Corniche circuit will experience extreme heat for the Saudi GP weekend, with temperatures peaking at 31°C and humidity around 70%. Initial practice sessions on Friday will be particularly challenging. Despite efforts to introduce cooling technology, many drivers are skeptical about its utility under such conditions.

The Saturday and Sunday F1 events at the Jeddah Corniche circuit are anticipated to be influenced by extreme heat levels. Friday forecasts indicate a high of 31°C with potential track temperatures reaching around 50°C. The weekend kickoff features various practice sessions starting with FP1 at 3:30 PM local time under challenging humid conditions, likely elevating the difficulty for the race drivers due to 70% humidity.

Initially on Friday, FP1 will present ambient temperatures of 28°C and gusts ranging from 30 to 40 kph. By FP2, slated for 7 PM, while initial expectations would suggest cooler temperatures in the evening, this will not make a significant difference as humidity remains high at 65% with reduced wind gusts of 20 kph.

On Saturday, FP3 will experience a minor rise to 29°C with increased wind and humidity levels. During the qualifying session at 7 PM, temperatures will hold steady at 29°C, with humidity reducing slightly to 60%, still presenting a tough environment for the racers.

The Grand Prix itself on Sunday will commence at 7 PM as well, with a forecast ambient temperature of 29°C but a heat index reaching 32°C, making it the weekend’s hottest. The wind is expected to diminish significantly, creating less cooling effect.

Despite these adverse conditions, many drivers, including Oscar Piastri and Esteban Ocon, are hesitant to utilize the FIA’s new cooling vest technology due to issues of comfort and integration with their race seats. They believe enhancements are required for optimal usability and effectiveness, highlighting ongoing challenges with new gear adaptations.

The weather forecast for the Saudi GP indicates extreme heat conditions, with highs of 31°C and track temperatures potentially reaching 50°C. Humidity levels are challenging, particularly during the opening practice sessions, affecting driver performance. Although session temperatures may seem manageable, the heat index poses significant concerns. Additionally, a lack of enthusiasm for the new FIA cooling vests suggests ongoing adjustments are needed in racer safety equipment.
