Man Arrested in Japan over Possible Body of Missing Female

A 24-year-old man was arrested in Aichi, Japan, on suspicion of abandoning a possible body of a missing female. On April 17, Aichi prefectural police arrested a 24-year-old man, Takaya Fujii, on suspicion of abandoning a body in Ichinomiya, central Japan. The removed body, which has not had its gender confirmed, was discovered in a car on a city street. Fujii, a resident of Toyota and currently unemployed, has admitted to the allegations and has alluded to possible murder.
The deceased is believed to be a female in her teens from Gifu Prefecture, adjacent to Aichi, who has been missing since around mid-August of the previous year. In response, the Aichi police have established an investigation headquarters in Ichinomiya to identify the body and examine the circumstances surrounding the death.
