Despite a warning shot fired into the air, Kumar attempted to escape, resulting in police firing two additional rounds.

Following the shooting, Kumar was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. This incident highlighted Kumar’s prior criminal record, including a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act related to rape and murder.
