Husband Arrested as Police Solve Murder Mystery of Delhi Woman

A woman’s body found in a drain led police to her husband, Anil Kumar, identified through a nose pin. Police suspected him of murder after inconsistencies in his statements about her whereabouts. The discovery of a body belonging to Seema Singh in a drain in Delhi marked the initiation of a significant police investigation. Her husband, Anil Kumar, is suspected of her murder following the identification of a nose pin linked to him. Seema’s body was found on March 15, wrapped in a bedsheet and tied to a stone and cement sack.

Police traced the nose pin back to a jewelry store in South Delhi, where it was confirmed that Anil Kumar purchased it. They identified Seema Singh, aged 47, as his wife. During initial inquiries, Kumar stated that Seema had left for Vrindavan without her phone, raising suspicions among investigators.

Further investigation revealed discrepancies in Kumar’s statements regarding Seema’s whereabouts. After reaching out to her family, it became apparent that they had not heard from Seema since March 11. Despite Kumar’s repeated claims that she was unavailable, the family was concerned and considered contacting the police.

On April 1, the family received a call to identify a body, confirming their worst fears. The post-mortem report indicated Seema had been strangled. Both Anil Kumar and an alleged accomplice, Shiv Shankar, were arrested based on the evidence gathered.
