Reports indicate that the woman’s lover, Naveen, assaulted the husband with a pistol after being caught together. Before fleeing the scene, Naveen allegedly threatened the husband with a reference to a notorious recent murder case from Meerut, involving a woman and her lover killing the woman’s husband.

The victim, Mausam, a cab driver from Haryana’s Jhajjar district, married his wife from Moga, Punjab, two years prior. Their marriage faced opposition from Mausam’s family, prompting the couple to reside in Basai Enclave. Mausam recounted that upon returning home around 6 AM after his night shift, he found his wife missing from their room. He later discovered her on the terrace with Naveen.

As Mausam confronted them, Naveen brandished a pistol, pointed it at Mausam’s head, and struck him with the weapon before escaping as neighbors arrived. The police have initiated an investigation and registered a First Information Report (FIR), actively pursuing Naveen and his accomplice.
