Congress to Contest 2025 Bihar Elections Under INDIA Bloc Alliance

When the elections come closer, our leaders will sit together to finalise the formula.” Despite the RJD advocating for Tejashwi Yadav as the Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate, Congress plans to consult with all allies before making any final decisions.

Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru reiterated that the Chief Minister candidate’s name will emerge from discussions with other INDIA Bloc partners. He also mentioned the incorporation of Prashant Kishor, saying, “A decision will be taken after proper discussion. We will sit and talk about it.” About Pappu Yadav’s involvement, Allavaru asserted that the INDIA Bloc supports those opposing the BJP.

The meeting featured prominent Bihar Congress leaders, including former state president Akhilesh Singh and former minister Ramjatan Sinha. With this announcement, the previously noted discord between the RJD and Congress appears to be diminishing as the 2025 Bihar elections approach.
