Wife and Mother-in-Law Arrested in Bengaluru Murder Case

In Bengaluru, Loknath Singh was allegedly murdered by his wife and mother-in-law over infidelity and illegal business concerns. His body was found in a car, leading to their arrests. The killing involved spiking his food with sleeping pills before a fatal assault, attributed to ongoing marital disputes and threats.
In Bengaluru, a 37-year-old real estate businessman, Loknath Singh, was reportedly murdered by his wife and mother-in-law due to concerns over his alleged infidelities and illegal business dealings. The police have taken both women into custody following the discovery of Loknath’s body in an abandoned car in Chikkabanavara.
On Saturday, authorities received an emergency call at 5:30 PM concerning the body. North Bangalore Deputy Commissioner of Police, Saidul Adavath, confirmed the arrests and mentioned that investigations are ongoing. Initial reports indicate that Loknath’s food was laced with sleeping pills to incapacitate him before the murder.
After rendering Loknath unconscious, the accused drove him to a deserted location where they fatally slit his throat. The motive for the crime has been linked to Loknath’s reported extramarital affairs and his illegal activities in business, as well as family conflicts.
Loknath had been in a relationship with his wife for two years before their marriage in Kunigal last December. Although their families opposed the union due to an age difference, they were unaware of the marriage until two weeks prior. Following the marriage, Loknath’s relationship with his wife deteriorated, leading to frequent arguments and considerations of divorce.
Tensions escalated when Loknath started threatening his in-laws. This prompted a drastic response from his wife and mother-in-law, as they plotted his murder. Furthermore, police revealed that Loknath was under investigation by the Bengaluru Central Crime Branch for a separate fraud case.
The shocking murder of Loknath Singh highlights deep-seated issues surrounding personal relationships and illegal activities. This tragic event underscores the potential consequences of unchecked conflicts, infidelity, and familial strife. Ongoing investigations may shed light on the legal repercussions for those involved.
