Muskan Rastogi manipulated her boyfriend Sahil Shukla by pretending to be his deceased mother through Snapchat, convincing him to assist in the murder of her husband, Saurabh Rajput. Both were arrested following the discovery of Rajput’s dismembered body, revealing a heinous crime fueled by deception.

Muskan Rastogi, accused of murdering her husband Saurabh Rajput with her lover Sahil Shukla, allegedly deceived Sahil into believing that his deceased mother communicated with him through her. She used multiple Snapchat accounts to send convincing messages posing as his mother, including a notably ominous message about power and protection.

In one message, Muskan asserted, “Your bahu has passed. She is now a part of the family. I am very happy. Now no one can defeat our bahu. He (Saurabh) is destined to die at Muskaan’s hands.” This manipulation was key in pulling Sahil into the murder plot.

Both Muskan and Sahil, aged 27, were arrested on March 18 after Saurabh Rajput’s body was discovered in a drum filled with dust, cement, and water. They allegedly poisoned Saurabh’s food before killing him on March 4, after he returned from his job in the UK.

The couple’s relationship reportedly began when Saurabh was in the UK for work, leaving his wife and daughter behind in Meerut. After the murder, Muskan dismembered Saurabh’s body while her 5-year-old daughter slept nearby, later abandoning her child at her parents’ house before fleeing to Shimla with Sahil. Their arrest followed police investigation initiated on March 18, when the crime was reported.

Muskan Rastogi’s manipulation of Sahil Shukla through deceitful communication, combined with the heinous nature of the murder, highlights a disturbing case of betrayal and violence. The arrests of both individuals come as a response to the brutal murder, further revealing the complexities of their relationship leading to this crime.
