In another unrelated case in Uttar Pradesh, a court sentenced a woman and her lover to life imprisonment for the murder of her five-year-old stepson. The child had witnessed the couple in a compromising situation, leading the pair to strangle the boy to prevent their affair from being exposed. They stuffed the body into a trunk and concealed it in their home, according to police reports.
