Pune Techie Arrested for Murdering Son Amid Marital Suspicion

A Pune techie has been arrested for murdering his young son amid suspicions of his wife’s infidelity. After a domestic argument, he took the child to a lodge, where he later confessed to the crime. The child’s body was discovered in a nearby forest, leading to ongoing police investigations.

In Pune, a 38-year-old tech professional has been arrested for the murder of his three-year-old son, whom he allegedly killed out of suspicion that his wife was unfaithful. The incident occurred in the Chandan Nagar locality, where the father, Madhav Tiketi, reportedly took his son Himmat out after a domestic quarrel and later attempted to conceal his crime by leaving the child’s body in a forested area.

Madhav had initially spent part of the day drinking at a bar before the incident. After the quarrel with his wife, Swaroopa, he left home with Himmat. Concerned when they did not return, Swaroopa notified police that both were missing later that night. CCTV footage revealed Madhav last appeared with Himmat at about 2:30 PM, but subsequent footage captured him alone and purchasing clothes around 5:00 PM.

Upon tracking Madhav’s mobile phone, officers located him drunk in a lodge. After recovering, he confessed to killing his son. The body was found nearby, and police confirmed it had been slashed in the throat. Authorities are continuing their investigation, with the child’s body slated for a post-mortem examination.

Officials have stated, “Last night, the child’s mother came to the police station and filed a missing report of her son. During the investigation, it was found that the child’s father was drunk in a lodge. We took him into custody and arrested him. Upon further interrogation, he confessed to killing his son.” The police continue to pursue the details surrounding this tragic case.
