Woman and Lover Strangle Husband in Haryana: Shocking Domestic Violence Case
In Haryana, Raveena and her lover Suresh strangled her husband, Praveen, following a confrontation after being caught in a compromising position. After disposing of his body, it was discovered days later. Both perpetrators are in custody, leaving Praveen’s young son with relatives, highlighting a disturbing trend in domestic violence cases.
In Haryana’s Hisar district, a shocking incident occurred where a woman and her lover strangled her husband after being discovered in a compromising situation. Raveena, aged 32, and Suresh connected on Instagram, collaborating on short video projects for approximately 18 months, despite strong objections from Raveena’s husband, Praveen, and his relatives.
Raveena gained a significant following on Instagram, with over 34,000 followers, and continued to produce content even amid familial disagreements, often leading to disputes with Praveen. On March 25, after Praveen found Raveena and Suresh together, a confrontation ensued which led to the tragic event where Raveena and Suresh fatally strangled Praveen using a dupatta.
Following the murder, Raveena feigned ignorance regarding Praveen’s whereabouts when questioned by family members. Later that night, at approximately 2:30 AM, the duo transported Praveen’s body on a motorcycle and disposed of it in a drain on Dinnod Road, about six kilometers from their home.
Praveen’s body was discovered by police on March 28, in a severely decomposed state. Subsequent surveillance footage captured a person on a motorcycle, wearing a helmet, with Raveena as a pillion rider, covering her face; the footage indicated that Praveen’s body was placed between them, which was later found missing.
Both Raveena and Suresh have been arrested and are currently in jail. Praveen’s six-year-old son is now in the care of his grandfather, Subhash, and his uncle, Sandeep. This incident follows another recent case in Uttar Pradesh, where similar violent actions occurred, highlighting troubling social trends.
The case of Raveena and Suresh underscores the dangers of obsessive relationships and the serious consequences of domestic disputes. Their actions not only ended Praveen’s life but also left a young child without a parent. The ongoing incidents of extreme violence related to marital discord invite critical reflection on societal attitudes towards relationships and conflict resolution.
