Kazakhstan Tackles Fake News Issue at Central Asian Media Forum

During the II Central Asian Media Forum, Aida Balayeva, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture and Information, emphasized the significant issue of fake news in Central Asia. She highlighted that the Ministry is actively enhancing cooperation with major online platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram to effectively curb false information.

Kazakhstan has made considerable progress in addressing illegal content, including cyberbullying, extremism, and misinformation.
