Kazakh and Azerbaijani Media Outlets Forge Collaboration Agreement

A delegation from Azerbaijan’s AnewZ visited Kazakhstan’s President’s TV and Radio Complex to discuss collaboration on content exchange, training programs, and the launch of a Central Asian TV channel. Both sides aim to enhance partnerships in the media sector, emphasizing the potential for cooperation in disseminating information about Central Asia and the Caucasus.
A delegation from Azerbaijan’s AnewZ Global Media Channel, led by Executive Director Rufat Hamzayev, visited the TV and Radio Complex of Kazakhstan’s President. The meeting aimed to explore collaboration opportunities, particularly in content exchange between Silk Way TV and AnewZ, as well as training programs for staff and enhancing correspondent networks.
Key discussions included the involvement of Azerbaijan in launching a centralized Central Asian TV channel based on Kazakhstan’s Silk Way TV. Hamzayev highlighted the strong interest of the Azerbaijani audience in Silk Way’s content and the potential for beneficial collaboration between both countries’ media sectors to better inform the two regions about Central Asia and the Caucasus.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties committed to enhancing their partnership within the media sector and agreed to formalize a cooperation agreement soon. The TV and Radio Complex has established extensive cooperative ties with Azerbaijani media, including partnerships with AzerTAC and Trend news agencies.
