Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of prolonging peace talks to launch a large-scale offensive aimed at capturing more Ukrainian territory. He emphasized, “According to our intelligence, Russia is preparing for new offensives in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.” Zelenskyy expressed that negotiations are being delayed to strengthen Putin’s bargaining position.
U.S. President Donald Trump expressed frustration regarding Putin’s insistence on ousting Zelenskyy as a condition for peace but remains hopeful that the conflict could end. Some Russian conscripts are scheduled for dismissal upon completing their service, while independent journalists have confirmed over 100,000 Russian military fatalities since the onset of the invasion.
