In Thailand, the earthquake’s effects were also felt, resulting in the collapse of a high-rise construction site in Bangkok, leading to at least five fatalities and 17 injuries.
Rescue operations are currently underway in Thailand, focusing on around 100 individuals who are feared to be trapped under the debris. Thai Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited the incident site, emphasizing the necessity for thorough safety inspections of both public and private structures in light of these events.
