Alleged Murder of Merchant Navy Officer Unveils Chilling Conspiracy

The case of Saurabh Rajput, a merchant navy officer allegedly murdered by his wife Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla, has revealed grim details. After returning home to Meerut from London for his family’s celebrations, Saurabh became a victim of a violent conspiracy. Police state that on March 4, Muskan drugged him, allowing her to stab him to death alongside Sahil. Following this, they dismembered his body and encased it in cement within a drum.

The couple’s original plan was to dispose of Saurabh’s body parts in a remote area, but they instead chose to hide them in a large blue drum, as confirmed by SP Ayush Vikram Singh. Earlier, on February 25, the duo had tried to execute a similar plan during Muskan’s birthday; however, their first attempt failed when Saurabh did not lose consciousness.

After committing the murder, Muskan and Sahil went on vacation to Himachal Pradesh, visiting Manali, Kasol, and Shimla, while Saurabh’s remains were left concealed back home. Muskan’s parents expressed disbelief at her involvement, with her father advocating for the death penalty for both her and Sahil, stating that Muskan had lost her right to life and society.

Both Muskan and Sahil have been arrested and placed in 14-day judicial custody. During their court appearance, tensions escalated as a group of lawyers attempted to confront them, resulting in chaos. Police investigations are also exploring the drug influence, with officers alleging that Sahil introduced Muskan to substances like ‘Ganja’.
