Neighbors heard Rekha’s screams and rushed to assist her, while Umesh tried fleeing, resulting in his severe injuries. Police transported both individuals to a community health center before taking them to a more advanced facility due to their conditions.

Umesh had been a regular visitor to Rekha’s house, and their relationship developed over time. Previously, Rekha had left her home with him but returned after her family reported her missing. After distancing herself from Umesh, she refused his advances, which triggered his violent reaction. The police have yet to receive a formal complaint, indicating that their immediate priority is to ensure the victims’ health and safety.
