He expressed readiness to take decisive action against members who do not align with the party’s goals. “We are ready to do that to set an example,” he said.
He urged disloyal members to openly support the BJP instead. Gandhi recognized the difficulties Congress faces in regaining public trust after nearly 30 years out of power, asserting that winning elections is insufficient unless the party earns the trust of the electorate first.

Responding to Gandhi, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla derided him as the “BJP’s biggest asset.” He accused Gandhi of undermining his own party and criticized his comparison of party workers to animals, stating, “At least please call your party workers humans.”
Gandhi also took a critical stance towards the current government leadership in Gujarat, claiming they have failed to address the needs of small and medium businesses and farmers. He advocated that a new vision is necessary for governance to meet the demands of the people.
