Violence Escalates in Shahjahanpur: Mother Killed by Son, Separate Murder Investigation Underway

In Shahjahanpur, a 25-year-old man named Vinod Kumar has been arrested for allegedly killing his mother, Naina Devi, with a spear. The incident occurred after Kumar, often involved in domestic disputes due to alcohol consumption, assaulted his wife on Thursday evening. When Naina intervened, he directed his aggression towards her, resulting in her death, as reported by Superintendent of Police Rajesh S.
Following the incident, local police arrived at Ganpatpur village, recovered the victim’s body, and arrested Kumar. A murder case has been filed with the body sent for post-mortem examination.
In a separate case, police discovered the body of 55-year-old Asaram on a roadside in Kajjar Bojhi village late Thursday. This man was reportedly shot dead. Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Awasthi indicated that Asaram was lured from his house by two men, Sumer and Kallu, under the pretext of smoking, before he was murdered. An investigation is ongoing, and the accused have also been charged with murder, with the body sent for post-mortem.
